Terms of Use

Last updated September 3, 2026

Scratchpaper is operated by Crave Digital, Inc. ("we", "us"). By using Scratchpaper you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian should read them with you.

What Scratchpaper is

Scratchpaper is a homework helper for students in grades 6–12. It is designed to teach rather than tell: it asks leading questions, works through similar examples, and checks that you understand — but it will not hand you the answer to your own assignment.

What Scratchpaper is not

It can be wrong

Scratchpaper is powered by AI. It can produce explanations that are incomplete, outdated, or simply incorrect. Always check its work against your class materials and your teacher. Do not rely on it for anything where being wrong matters — grades included. We provide Scratchpaper "as is", without warranties of any kind.

Using it fairly

Don't use Scratchpaper to break the law, to harass anyone, to try to extract its underlying instructions, or to overload the service. Don't upload other people's private information. We may suspend access that does any of these.

Your work

What you type and upload stays yours. You give us permission to process it in order to run the service — for example, sending your question to our AI provider so it can answer. We describe this in the Privacy Policy.

This is an early version. Scratchpaper is being shared with a small group while we build it. Features will change, and it may be unavailable at times without notice.

Limits of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Crave Digital, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Scratchpaper, including academic outcomes. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Continuing to use Scratchpaper after a change means you accept the updated version. Questions, or want your school added or removed? Email hello@cravedigital.co.
